The Sound Journey with Pops Mohamed and Friends

Pops Mohamed and Friends will be performing live at the iStart2 Hub, 160 South Street, Lyttelton Holdings, Centurion on Saturday 8 September 2012 from 19h00.

Listen to an interview with Pops on the iStart2 Radio show on Radio Today on Monday 3 September at 18h30. The show is on 1485am in Johannesburg, nationally on DSTV Channel 169 or internationally on the website www.1485.org.za

Pops Mohamed has a sheer gift for creating music that fuses generous measures of ancient cultures with delicate flavours of modern influences and expertise. This is partly why he has won so many awards - including two Lifetime Achievers Awards for his contribution to Indigenous Music - surely one of the Africa's most celebrated musical legends.

OLUFEMI is the new face of the African Renaissance. Combining Afrobeat and jazz and blues, West African highlife with a nostalgic Sophiatown flavour, his music is a rich blend of deep and sultry jazz and contemporary groove. His music is urban and urbane

The Sound Journey synthesizes a collaboration with JP du Toit sharing indigenous poetry and the soothing sounds of DJ, Chris Keys, playing funk, soul and afro tunes.

To get tickets (with a meal) please email pierre@istart2.com before 6 September with your particulars and we will email you the banking details.
This gets you into the draw to win an Overnight stay for two people at the iStart2 Hub and Breakfast the next morning with Pops Mohamed, a Pops CD or signed POPS Mohamed Posters.
