The Personal Turnaround System ... Shirley Roeloffze

Shirley Roeloffze's successful journey from her own turmoil and pain to peace as well as her profound insight into human thinking, emotions and spirituality all enable her to offer realistic solutions to people battling with conflict, unhappiness and catastrophic loss.

Very unusually, part of her consulting experience included being invited by the Abu Dhabi Government (United Arab Emirates) to spend three years conducting executive training in transformational thinking as a major strut in the Government's modernisation programme. She enjoyed the unexpected situation of being a white English-speaking female (from Africa) impacting on the thinking of (mostly male) Arabic-speaking Muslims and receiving in exchange the utmost courtesy and helpfulness.

"iStart2 laugh at difficult situations and at the drama in front of me"
- Shirley Roeloffze

We chatted to Shirley about her book "The Personal Turnaround System - How to move from turmoil to peace and enjoy the journey". This book is extraordinarily helpful in enabling the reader to move from turmoil and pain to a sustainable sense of peace.

If people are drowning in frequent arguments and misunderstandings; or suffering frustration and disappointment with family, friends and co-workers; or are buried in catastrophic loss, this book will help them move to peace even in the middle of the anguish. In a surprisingly personal and friendly way, this book engages the reader and accompanies him or her as they unfold new understanding that can dramatically change their lives for the better.

The Legacy of the Madiba Shirt ... Sonwabile Ndamase

"Fashion is revealing. Clothes reveal what group people are in. Style show who you are, but they also create stereotypes and distance between groups. Fashion is a language which tells the story about the person who wears it. Clothes create a wordless means of communication that we all understand," says Sonwabile Ndamase.

"We have to celebrate the value chain of Nelson Mandela"
- Sonwabile Ndamase

He is the man behind the Madiba shirt and the godfather of African style ... a humble man with a great heart. We chatted to Sonwabile Ndamase about  his collaboration with DeafSA Gauteng, SAFDA and the AVFA's 2015. His continued contribution to Heritage and Culture through the Fashion Industry and his work with young Fashionistas is
keeping the legacy of Madiba alive!

KuduWave ... Dr Dirk Koekemoer

Not too many people set out to change the world ... even fewer people actually do it.

Dr Dirk Koekemoer, entrepreneur, medical doctor and inventor, is taking on the world’s most common chronic disability, hearing loss, in a most innovative direction. Inspired by a desire to change the lives of people on a grand scale, Dirk is adamant: "Hearing loss is a silent epidemic. In South Africa this year alone, 2 000 people will potentially lose their hearing. Someone has to change this.”

"iStart2 make a difference in hearing health in
South Africa and in the world" - Dirk Koekemoer

On the iStart2 Show this week we chatted to Dirk about his dream, the process of real making, the challenges, risks and benefits of the KuduWave system.

“This is a proudly South African product. It has been designed, engineered and manufactured in South Africa, by some of the brightest young South Africans with very scarce skills. This means South African skill, not the people themselves, is exported to the world,” says Dirk. Entrepreneurs, health professionals, schools or organisations interested to collaborate with Dirk can go to his website eMoyo
