Reverend Mxolisi Sonti, Secretary General of the South African Council of Churches Youth Forum is a passionate man. Passionate about his religion, art and development of the youth. Being a drummer and poet who grew up in Sterkspruit in the Eastern Cape, he understands the challenges facing our young artists from rural areas.
Rev Mxolisi Sonti in the Radio Today studio on the iStart2 Show
We chat to him about how churches across South Africa can mobilise to take hands on the iStart2 Challenge. The Reverend also emphasises the importance of religious and non-religious people (all of us!) to take hands to make this happen. Reverend Sonti shares his ideas about working together and reaching out to our youth to create a more sustainable world.
Yvonne Chaka Chaka's song " Let the children live" and R Kelly's "The Storm is over" highlights the journey of reaching our goals with the SACCYF.
